As Level Designer you are familiar with UE4 / Unity and know how to work with the tools the engine provides. Your main tasks will include
- The creation of levels, asset placement and beautification of levels
- To maintain the established art style and to transfer it to the level design
- The creation of basic scripts (e.g. Door opens, something moving from A/B)
- The creation of object templates (e.g. create compound object with multiple, random placed meshes etc.)
- The creation of cutscenes within the game
- The creation of (smaller, environmental) assets
- working closely with artists, programmers and game designers
Requirements
- knowledge of how rendering in an engine works (what are draw calls, texture memory, etc.) for optimization
- High standard of craftsmanship, self-initiative and self-reliance
- Flexible, structured and solution oriented working process
- Knowledge of how to concept and build game levels to achieve the best possible quality
- great artistic skill set and extensive knowledge of color and lighting.
- familiarity with Photoshop
- knowledge in 3D modeling and open to learn new software such as substance designer
- Fluently written and spoken English
