remote control productions (rcp) is an independent, internationally active production house and represents Europe’s largest developer family with 13 studios in 5 countries, a gamification company, an internal publisher and an agency for digital marketing. Since 2005, our family has released more than 150 games from mobile AAA to core PC and console titles to players across 6 continents. These include mobile apps and global hits like Angry Birds Evolution, Bus Simulator 18, Angry Birds Evolution, Ostwind, Sacred Legends, Knights of Valour and Pet Hotel.

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious team player, who is motivated to see projects through.

The primary role of a  Project Manager (f/m/d) is the management of rcp’s internal projects, development of project management processes as well as implementation of best practices. Additionally, the Project Manager (f/m/d) will create high-quality and visually appealing games with a colourful mix of growing teams totalling 200 people within the rcp group. 

The kind of stuff you’ll be doing:

  • Stakeholder management and communication with clients & sponsors, partners and other departments
  • Ensure smooth workflows within the team and be the central communication hub for everybody
  • Regular reporting to C-level
  • Lead and coordinate a game development team during all project phases (from initial concept to release or live care)
  • Plan and schedule the project & manage the production risks
  • Take care of development operations, meetings and needs of the team
  • Assume accountability for the team, budget and project
  • Provide “training-on-the-job” for in-team leads vis-á-vis organisational topics
  • Working with teams and projects of all sizes & prices

Your experience includes:

  • Ideally 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience within the Domain of creative industries
  • Understanding of game development in all relevant phases and of all the related departments
  • In-depth knowledge of project management, its tools and agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum/Kanban)
  • Reasonable IT-contracts knowledge
  • Track record of finished projects
  • Leadership and mentoring
  • Identification and management of potential risks and challenges
  • Good skills with Excel, Google sheets and similar office tools
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Nice to have:

  • PMI certification
  • Background in a consultancy business or
  • Experience as a games publisher
